Santa Clarita Direct Cremation ("we," "us," "our") provides direct cremation services across the Santa Clarita Valley. This policy describes how we handle information you share with us.
We collect information you provide directly: your name, contact information, information about your loved one (for at-need arrangements) or yourself (for preplanning), and messages you send us. We also collect standard web analytics (anonymous page visits, device type) to improve the site.
We use your information to: (1) respond to your request and provide the service you asked about, (2) communicate with you about ongoing arrangements, (3) comply with California funeral and vital records law. We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it with marketers.
We share information only with: (1) the California-licensed crematory performing the cremation, (2) LA County vital records for death certificate filing, (3) the attending physician for signature on the death certificate, and (4) government agencies as required by law. We may use trusted service providers (hosting, email) under confidentiality obligations.
We retain records under California confidentiality standards for funeral records. Access is limited to the counselors directly handling your case. We use encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what information we have about you, request its deletion, and opt out of any sale (we don't sell). To exercise these rights, email care@directcremationscv.com or call (661) 899-5336.
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when. Material changes will be posted here.
